Torry's Take: Giving thanks

I accept a lot going on with Thanksgiving this week. I'yard getting involved in the St. Louis community, going down to the Urban Customs Center to give out turkeys to underprivileged families, saying Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Holidays to the people here. We'll probably give out 500 turkeys past the end of the day. | | | I'k excited about the holidays, and it feels good to be able to give back, not only to the St. Louis community, but most importantly my community, in helping uplift them and put smiles on their faces, letting them know what giving is all about. | My foundation, the Holt Foundation, is doing a great gesture by feeding the homeless and picking 25 families in the Gibsonville, N.C., area, my hometown. Nosotros'll have them become over to Faith Baptist Church to exist fed and accept a adept Thanksgiving dinner. I'grand excited almost the holidays, and it feels good to be able to requite back, not just to the St. Louis community, but nearly importantly my community, in helping uplift them and put smiles on their faces, letting them know what giving is all near. Equally for Thursday, I'thousand cooking Thanksgiving dinner myself. I've got the turkey going, stuffing, macaroni and cheese, collared greens, maybe some cabbage, pinto beans, yams and I'1000 going to see if I can't piece of work me up a nice banana pudding. I'm an all-around guy. I'm not merely a football player. I'1000 a good wholesome young man -- I can melt, I clean and I dress well. I but try to be a solid citizen in all areas. I'll have my family hither, and a few of my teammates will come through. We've got the day off, so nosotros'll just kick it, play some pool, spotter football game and eat lots of turkey.
